Traveling out of the city to the country, small farm stands would pop up along the road. They were known for fresh strawberry and whipped cream postres. As kids, we looked forward to our trips to the country with our father, who would indulge us with these sweet and creamy treats.

“This Combo Layer cake reminds me of when I was a little girl, and my grandpa would take me to the corner bakery for my favorite cookies – Black and White. I loved the taste of the combination of chocolate and vanilla, and this Combo cake is so similar. Chocolate and vanilla cake with creamy chocolate cream cheese filling inside and vanilla cream cheese outside. It’s the best of both worlds!”

“It’s a Coconut Dream!!!
Throughout my 14 years at We Take The Cake, I can truly say that the Coconut Layer cake has been my absolute fave!
Spending my childhood summers in Florida, it was always a treat to break open a coconut, make little holes in the “eyes,” and drink the sweet, cool milk straight from the fruit. Cracking it open and tasting the crunchy, sweet coconut made me fall in love with the flavor. I’ve always been a crème brûlée, pudding, Boston cream, anything-cream kind of gal. So, slicing into the rich layers of moist coconut cake, decadent coconut cream filling, and rich cream cheese frosting–all covered with coconut flakes–is my dream dessert. Every year, I celebrate my birthday with one of these beauties!”

“Peanut butter was the first food I fell in love with and still is. PB&J sandwiches, peanut butter cake, cookies, candy, anything peanut butter. When we decided to bake cookies for the bakery, I knew peanut butter had to be one of the flavors. These sweet, salty, and peanut buttery cakey cookies rank high on my favorites here at the bakery. I thought it was our Prize-Winning Chocolate cake, so imagine how surprised I was when I tasted the actual Prize-Winning Chocolate cake. WOW! I was blown away. The Chocolate cream cheese filling and frosting is what sets it apart from any other chocolate cake I’ve tasted.
My favorite treat has always been a chocolate bar, so this rich and fudgy cake makes this flavor my favorite! Sweet indulgence any day of the week!”
